Classically, PRES has not been taught to leave irreversible damage. Thank you for enlightening me in this atypical case. This will go a long way in my patient care and resident/student education.
So 2 weeks later a repeat MRI showed same findings? or evidence of ischemia? If she still has “PRES” by MRI, then very curious. But if she has permanent CNS injury that wouldn’t be “PRES,” right?
